It's a Chinese slang. English has a correspond idiom for this. -----"When pigs  fly": It means things are impossible to happen.

But is it? No. I can prove to u that "pigs can fly". Take a look at this.

  • Great minds think alike
ex: We both think Bush is an idiot. Great minds think alike.
  • Out of the frying pan and into the fire

Bill Gates

ex: Bill Gates, please help me. I'm flat broke.
I don't have a red cent是没钱的意思。
    ex: I have a red cent.
ex: He spent very little on food, but blew all his money in casino last week. He is a penny-wise, pound-foolish man.
ex: After losing everything in one bet, he's completely a down-and-out.
  • A fool and his money are easily parted.
ex: He is such a fool. He either spends or lose his money by accident. A fool and his money are easily parted.

Chinglish

  • 首当其冲的,当属Long time no see. 如果你想换种说法, 可以试试这句:“It's been a while."
  • Cherish the flowers. Don't walk on it"

  • Change lane, notice behind. Keep space.

    Hilary Clinton

we fought for the single mom with the young daughter, juggling work and school, who told me, "I'm doing it all to better myself for her."

We fought for the woman who grabbed my hand and asked me, "What are you going to do to make sure I have health care?" and began to cry, because even though she works three jobs, she can't afford insurance.

We fought for the young man in the Marine Corps t-shirt who waited months for medical care and said, "Take care of my buddies over there, and then will you please take care of me?"

We fought for all those who've lost jobs and health care, who can't afford gas or groceries or college, who have felt invisible to their president these last seven years.
