如何写英文求职信

厄，这回我没有食言，而且你们一看这名字就知道绝对不是糊弄你们出来的文章，这篇绝对够分量了。

今天，我先不介绍英文简历的写法，先说说求职信怎么个写法，需要注意什么。

首先，求职信是与你的简历同时投递的，如果你的求职信上的内容和简历的一致，那你也不必多费功夫了。求职信是比简历更具体的东西，你要用你的工作经历向雇主证明，你多么适合这份工作。简历是很死板的东西，条条框框太多，但求职信可以表现你的个性，能力以及工作热忱。下面，我简要说几个注意点：

Use one page only. 求职信无需啰啰嗦嗦，一页即可。
Overall, think of your letter as a polite sales pitch about yourself and what benefits you can bring to the company.
求职信说白了，就是推销自己，如果你进了公司，会给公司带来如何如何的好处，别怕羞，也别夸大其词。
Use the same name, content and format guidelines as for a business letter.
我记得我之前写过如何写商务往来信件的帖子，不妨回过去看看称呼，格式，内容如何书写。
Address the letter to a specific person. If you can't discover a name, use a gender-neutral title such as "Dear Personnel Director." 对雇主，如果知道姓名，直接用Mr./Ms **, 如果不晓得，用中性称呼。
Open you letter by identifying the position for which you're applying.
信的开头就要写明你求的是哪个职位。
Mention your qualifications and explain how your background will meet the job requirements
介绍你的长处和能力，证明你十分胜任这份工作，非常符合雇主的要求
Make clear that you're familiar with the company or organization; your research will impress the employer.
让人对你有个好的印象，就多了解求职公司的情况，体现你对这份工作的重视程度。
End by being specific about what you can do for the company. If the job will be your first , give your key attributes-but make sure they're relevant.
信的结尾写上你能为公司做些什么。如果这是你的第一份工作，就列出你的优点，例如你工作仔细，守时，自律等等。
State when you are available for an interview and how the potential employer can reach you.
一定要写明你的联系方式，什么时候方便面试。
Edit and proofread the letter carefully.
仔细检查有什么笔误的地方，直到没问题，再打印出来。

Note: 在某些国家，求职信要求附上一页申请者的私人信息，如婚姻状况，年龄，宗教等。但在北美国家不适用。

情系太湖大型文艺晚会（陈艳青）

这几个礼拜，实在是没有精力写博客，昨天刚刚忙碌完毕金秋洽谈会，恰逢这次又是苏州吴中经济开发区建区15周年，晚会搞得特别隆重，出场费35万的宋祖英也请来了。很多人不晓得，陈艳青是苏州吴中区西山人，本来这次也要来的，可惜最近在德国参加重要活动，无法抽身，所以拍了段录像。下面是些我拍的现场照片。大家随意看看。

如何为作文考试备战

很多人，面对多少考试都不紧张，可一对作文考试就傻眼了，两眼一抹黑，一片空白。我也碰到过这种情况，不知如何下笔，下笔了，也是一团乱麻，思维混乱，整体框架没有逻辑可言。

那我们如何为作文考试做准备呢？我这里说的不是单纯的英文命题作文，而是考试里要求500字-1000字答案长度的题目。除了英文的写作，很多文科学生都会碰到essay questions，那我们该如何为essay questions做充分的准备呢？最重要的一点是我们不能做一个被动的学生，上课的时候要积极主动，好好做课堂笔记，那样才能准确把握课程的重点，因而推测出老师可能考你的题目。作文考试不像你平时的写作，你有时间限制，所以需要掌握一些技巧性的东西。

Relax. Never begin writing immediately. Instead, take a deep breath and let it out slowly to relax and focus your thoughts.
放轻松，不要马上开始提笔写。深吸一口气，专心一致地思考题目。
Read. Read the test from beginning to end without skimming, so that you understand the questions completely. If you have a choice among topics, and equal credit is given to each, select the topics you know the most about.
读懂问题。不要目扫问题，要把问题读懂，读透。如果你有几个问题供你选择，选择你最有把握的。
Plan your time. If the instructor indicates what percentage of your grade each question will affect, allot your time to your greatest advantage。

Underline cue words. These words tell you what you must do in your essay. Look for words such as analyze, classify, and criticize. An essay question might read like this:

巧妙运用Transitional words and expressions（过渡词）

英文写作，过渡词或者说连接词的运用很重要。过渡词在上下文中起着承上启下的作用，英文中叫coherence.尽量避免文章中频繁出现相同类别的过渡词。你不能每举一个例子，就用一个'or instance' 吧。再者，过渡词如果不能准确应用，就会闹笑话，比如说，in contrast是两个事物间的比较，otherwise则是另一种对比。

以下是一张过渡词的清单, 希望对各位的英文写作有所帮助：

Addition:
also, besides, equally important, furthermore, in addition, moreover, too

Comparison:
in the same way, likewise, similarly

Concession:
granted, naturally, of course

Generalizing:
as a rule, as usual, for the most part,
generally, generally speaking, ordinarily, usually

Example:
as an illustratin, a case in point, for example, for instance, namely, specifically

Result:
accordingly, as a result, consequently, hence, then, therefore, thus

Emphasis

Similarity:
